Our Game Changing Giardiniera has a shelf life of 1 year.
Unopened jars should be kept in a cool dry place. Storage in hot places will shorten the shelf life. Open jars DO NOT need to be refrigerated but you can if you’d like.
There are so many possibilities to enjoy your giardiniera. Here are some of our favorites:
- Giardiniera as a condiment on a charcuterie board
- Giardiniera by iteself as an antipasta (appetizer) to get those digestive juices flowing!
- Giardiniera on top of pizza
- Giardiniera on a hot dog (bonus points if it's a Chicago style dog!)
- Giardiniera on a hot Italian sandwich
- Giardiniera on top of a hearty helping of pasta
In our humble opinion, we don't think it's that hot. Mildly hot is what we would say. Because we make our batches of giardiniera fresh, we use seasonably available peppers, most commonly serrano and jalapeno peppers. Of course, this will be relative to each consumer, but you can get a better idea of scale with this chart.
First, stand in front of a mirror and flex in 3 various poses (we like to do the Superman, strong man, and side chest pose). Once you've pumped yourself up, slap the bottom of your jar with the heel of your hand several times. You should then be able to twist the lid off with relative ease. If you have an especially stubborn jar, you can place it upside-down in hot water for a few minutes to loosen the lid.
